Ski Instructor Course

The Austrian Level 1 ski instructor certification (formerly the Austrian Anwärter Schilehrer certification) is a comprehensive and rigorous course. SLAP training equips candidates with the skiing and language skills to succeed.
The Austrian Level 1 is equivalent to the Australian Professional Snowsports Instructors (APSI) Level 1. With this certification you are able to teach skiing to both adults and children from beginner to intermediate level.
On completion of this level in the SLAP Programme, candidates can train for the APSI Level Two (internationally recognised teaching standard) and are eligible for the second language prerequisite of the International Ski Instructors Alliance (ISIA).
Three weeks of training ... and fun
The SLAP programme is a comprehensive three week instructor training course. The course has been refined over 19 years and prepares participants ith the skiing and language skills required for the Austrian Level 1 Ski Instructors Certification.
Over the three weeks daily on-snow training will improve your skiing to instructor level. You will be taught the theory and application of ski teaching through hands-on workshops, and become skilled at snow and mountain craft and equipment preparation. You’’ll also be immersed in Austrian culture and learn German language skills.
Plus Austria is a lot of fun! Candidates still find time in between training to enjoy the unique Austrian alpine culture.
The three weeks of SLAP training culminates in both a practical and a theory exam for the Austrian Level 1 ski instructor certification.
